2. The short version
- I use no analytics, tracking or advertising tools and no tracking cookies.
- Fonts are loaded locally from this server; there is no connection to Google Fonts.
- Comments are switched off.
- I only process personal data where it is needed to run the website, or when you choose to sign up for the newsletter.
3. Hosting and server log files (Raidboxes)
This website is hosted by Raidboxes GmbH, Hafenstraße 32, 48153 Münster, Germany. The servers are located in Germany.
When you visit the website, technically necessary data sent by your browser is processed automatically and stored in server log files. This includes in particular your IP address, the date and time of access, the type of request and page requested, browser type and version, operating system and the previously visited page (referrer). The purpose is to deliver the website securely and reliably.
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; my legitimate interest is a secure, working website.
Retention: According to Raidboxes, the log files are deleted after 7 days at the latest.
Raidboxes processes the data as a processor under a data processing agreement under Art. 28 GDPR.
4. Cookies and local storage
I do not use tracking or advertising cookies. Only the following technically necessary data is stored in your browser:
- pll_language (Polylang language plugin): remembers the language (English, German or Dutch) of the last page you viewed, so the website is shown in the right language. It contains only the language code, e.g. “en”. Stored for up to 1 year.
- WordPress login cookies (e.g. wordpress_logged_in_…, wordpress_sec_…, wordpress_test_cookie, wp-settings-…): only set when administrators log in to the admin area. They play no part for ordinary visitors.
- ml_guid (MailerLite): the MailerLite form script stores a random visitor ID in your browser’s local storage, which is used to run the signup form (see section 5).
Legal basis: Section 25(2) no. 2 TDDDG (German Telecommunications Digital Services Data Protection Act: strictly necessary to provide the service you requested) and Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; my legitimate interest is a working, multilingual website.
You can delete or block cookies and locally stored data at any time in your browser settings.
5. Newsletter (MailerLite)
If you sign up for the newsletter through a form on this website, I process your email address and, if given, your name (optional) to send you the free guide and a regular newsletter by email (news, articles from this knowledge library, courses and offers from Resonance Heritage Qi), and to let you know about future courses (waiting list). You can unsubscribe at any time via the link in every email.
Double opt-in: You first receive a confirmation email. You are only signed up once you click the link in it. To prove your consent, the time of sign-up and confirmation and your IP address are stored.
Legal basis: your consent, Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. Storing the sign-up records is based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (proof of consent, Art. 7(1) GDPR).
Withdrawal: You can withdraw your consent at any time via the unsubscribe link in every email or by emailing me. Processing carried out before then remains lawful.
Retention: until you unsubscribe. Your data is then deleted; only your email address and the sign-up records are kept on a suppression list or as proof of consent.
Provider: MailerLite Limited, 88 Harcourt Street, Dublin 2, D02 DK18, Ireland. UAB MailerLite, Vilnius, Lithuania, also belongs to the MailerLite group. MailerLite processes the data as a processor (data processing agreement under Art. 28 GDPR) and, according to MailerLite, stores it in the EU.
A MailerLite script is loaded to display the forms; this transmits your IP address to MailerLite.
6. Comments
The comment function is switched off on this website, so no comment data is collected.
7. Technical plugins without visitor data
- Imagify optimises uploaded images (smaller files, faster loading). Only image files from the media library are sent to the service, no visitor data.
- Really Simple Security provides a secure, encrypted connection (HTTPS) and protects the website against attacks. It is used for security, not for tracking.
8. Fonts and external content
The fonts used on this website are stored locally on the server. No connection to Google Fonts or other font services is made when you view the pages.
No videos, maps or other third-party content are currently embedded.
9. External links
This website links to external sites (e.g. PubMed or scientific journals). If you click such a link, you leave this website, and the privacy policy of that provider applies there.
10. Transfers to third countries
The website is hosted in Germany, and MailerLite stores the data in the EU. Access from the USA by MailerLite group companies or sub-processors cannot be ruled out. Any transfers to the USA are then based on the European Commission’s adequacy decision for the EU-US Data Privacy Framework (Art. 45 GDPR) where the recipient is certified (including MailerLite Inc.), and otherwise on EU Standard Contractual Clauses (Art. 46(2)(c) GDPR).
11. Your rights
You have the right of access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20), and to withdraw consent at any time with effect for the future (Art. 7(3)). An email to info@resonanceheritageqi.com is enough.
Right to object (Art. 21 GDPR): Where I process data on the basis of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, you can object at any time on grounds relating to your particular situation.
Right to lodge a complaint (Art. 77 GDPR): You can complain to a data protection supervisory authority, in particular in the EU country where you live. 12. Providing data, no automated decision-making
Providing your data is voluntary. Without an email address, however, I cannot send you the newsletter. No automated decision-making or profiling takes place.
